Clark - we need twenty points

13 April 2012

Lee Clark believes 20 points from the last 13 games will be enough for Fulham to win the Division One championship.

Fulham have taken only eight points from their last six games but they still lead second-placed Bolton by nine points and midfielder Clark is beginning to sense victory.

He said: "We have got 13 games remaining and if we were to get six wins and a couple of draws, I believe we will have secured automatic promotion and probably the championship."

But Clark is determined to win at Gillingham tomorrow to put an end to their recent mediocre form.

He added: "Every team has a sticky spell but we have got to bounce back at Gillingham. We have only scored five goals in our last six games. We are a good footballing side and our pitch at Craven Cottage has not been conducive to showing that. It has been relaid now, so hopefully we will soon be back to our best."
