Cesar misses out to Spanish rival Ricardo

13 April 2012

Real Madrid goalkeeper Cesar was a shock omission from Spain's World Cup squad named today when he lost out to Valladolid's Ricardo.

Cesar was first choice at Valladolid ahead of Ricardo, but left for Real Madrid. This season he has taken the No1 jersey away from Iker Casillas and is likely to start on Wednesday against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League final.

Joaquin helped the Seville side stay up after promotion in his debut season in La Liga while Luque has impressed up front.
