Brazil practice having man sent off

Brazil, who play Malaysia in a final warm-up game on Saturday, have swapped their traditional refined style for a more aggressive approach.

They even practised in Kuala Lumpur today for the possibility of having a player sent-off during the World Cup.

Hard-tackling captain Emerson, often criticised for his overzealous challenges, went off halfway through a training match between the first team and the reserves in what many Brazilians are likely to see as a premonition.

Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said: "Emerson went off so that I can train the team with 10 players. It will be useful in case we have an injury or sending-off.

"Sometimes, a team plays better with 10 than 11."
