Bradford remain in administration

By14 April 2012

Bradford will remain in administration "for the time being at least" after tomorrow's meeting with creditors was cancelled.

The Bantams, currently in the grip of a second administration with reported
debts of £36million, were due to meet the creditors at the end of the week to try and resolve the dire financial situation at Valley Parade.

But a statement on the club's official website, wwwbradfordcityfc.co.uk. confirmed: "The planned creditors' meeting has now been cancelled. For the foreseeable future the club will remain in administration.

"The administrators wish to stress that the news does not mean that the club cannot fulfil its fixtures next season.

"However, to establish this, further meetings with the club's stakeholders will need to be held and it is likely that further cost-cutting measures will have to be made."

City have been set a June 1 deadline to satisfy the Football League that they are capable of fulfilling their entire fixture list next season.

The statement added: "The joint administrators continue to work closely with Julian Rhodes (chairman) progressing discussions with all parties as part of their efforts to safeguard the future of the club."
