Acimovic leaves on loan

13 April 2012

Tottenham have allowed Slovenian midfielder Milenko Acimovic to join French side Lille on loan until the end of the season.

Acimovic, signed from Red Star Belgrade in the summer of 2002, made 18 appearances for Spurs last season but has not featured in the first team at all this time around, though he is still a regular for his country.

The club have also reached agreement with Club Brugge for the transfer of Jonathan Blondel.

The 19-year-old is now negotiating personal terms with the Belgian side and Spurs' acting manager David Pleat told the club's official website
www.spurs.co.uk: "Although we had high hopes of Jonathan he's found it very difficult to settle and we all feel he will benefit from a move back home."

Blondel joined from Mouscron in the summer of 2002 but started just one match, the second round Carling Cup victory over Coventry.
