Where to catch the fireworks

All across London, effigies will be burnt, great fires lit and an orchestra of firworks will light up the skies. Don't miss out on the fun; we tell you where to catch your nearest Bonfire Night display.

BARKING AND DAGENHAM
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November in Barking Park in Longbridge Road. Gates open at 5.00pm, firework display starts at 8.00pm. Tickets cost £4.00 for an adult and £1.00 for children, however a paying adult can bring a child for free. The event includes a roadshow from 'Active FM,' and a funfair.

BARNET
Main event is on Sunday 4th November, at Copthall Stadium. Gates open at 4.15pm, firework display begins at 6.00pm. Tickets are available for £3.00 in advance, from Mill Hill Wines, Barnet Lido, or Copthall Pool. On the night, tickets are £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.

BEXLEY
Organised by the Bexley Round Table. Held on Saturday the 3rd November, at Danson Park in Welling. The gates open at 6.00pm, the fireworks start at 8.00pm. Tickets are available in advance, at £3.00 for adults and £1.50 for children. On the night entry is £5.00 for adults and £2.00 for children.

King George's Recreation Ground, Longlands Road, Sidcup, Kent. Saturday 3rd November, 8pm, - fireworks, admission to be confirmed, entertainment and refreshments.

BRENT
Main event is on Monday 5th November, at Roundwood Park in Harlesden (NW10). Fireworks start at 8.00pm. Entry is £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. The event includes a small funfair.

BROMLEY
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November, at Crystal Palace Park (Capital 95.8 FM is going to be doing a show from the park.) Gates open at 6.00pm, the Capital 95.8 FM show begins at 7.00pm, and the fireworks and bonfire start at 8.00pm. Entry is £6.00 for adults, £4.00 for children. The event includes a small funfair.

Other firework events in Bromley are:

Friday 2nd November, at Croydon Road Recreational Ground. Gates open at 6.30pm, the fireworks begin at 8.00pm. Entry is £4.00 for adults, £3.00 for children.

Saturday 3rd November, at Chislehurst Recreational Ground. Gates open at 6.00pm, the bonfire is at 7.00pm, the fireworks start at 7.30pm. Tickets are available in advance, costing £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children, from Dixons and Paper Lane on Chislehurst High Street. On the night, tickets cost £5.00 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Monday 5th November, at Norman Park. Gates open at 5.00pm; fireworks and bonfire begin at 7.30pm. Entry is £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children.

CAMDEN
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November on Primrose Hill. Fireworks begin at 7.30pm. Entry is by donation to charity. Approximately 20,000 people are expected.

King Alfred's School, North End Road, London NW11, is also holding a firework display, on Saturday 3rd November. The event opens at 6.30 with the main display at 7.30. Tickets in advance are £7.50 or £10 on the night, while under-fours go free. Nearest tube, Golders Green.

CITY OF LONDON
Election of the New Lord Mayor, on Saturday 10th November. Fireworks begin at 5.00pm, after the Royal procession through London. Entry is free; the display can be seen from anywhere on The Embankment between Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge.

CROYDON
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November, at Sanderstead Recreational Ground. Approximately 10,000 people are expected. Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks (which are all to music) start at 7.00pm. Entry is £3.00 in advance, £3.50 on the night. Under threes go in for free.

EALING
Main event is on Sunday 4th November, in Ravenor Park, Greenford. Entry is £3.00 for adults and £2.00 for children (pay at the gate). Event includes: fireworks, fire jugglers, a live band, a DJ, food stalls and a 12 foot high bonfire. Box office number for information is: 020 8579 5436

ENFIELD
Town Park, Saturday 3rd November 6pm - gates open, 8pm - fireworks. Adults £4, children £2.

GREENWICH
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November, on Blackheath. Gates open at 6.30pm, the fireworks begin at 8.00pm. Entry is free. No parking is available.

HACKNEY
No official bonfire event.

HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM
Main event is on Friday 2nd November, at Bishops Park, Stevenage Road in Fulham. Gates open at 6.00pm, Bonfire lit at 7.00pm, fireworks begin at 8.00pm. Entry is £3.00 for adults and children, but under fives go in for free. Approximately 30,000 people are expected.

Ravenscourt Park, Saturday 3rd November 6pm - gates open, 8pm - fireworks. Admission £3, free for all under-5s, entertainment and refreshments.

HARINGEY
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November at Alexandra Palace. The fireworks begin at 7.00pm. Entry is free.

HARROW
No official council display, however, Harrow Rotary Club is putting on a display, on Saturday 3rd November at Roxbourne Park, on Cannon Lane in Pinner. Gates open at 6.00pm, display begins at 7.00pm. Entry is £3.50 for adults, £2.00 for children, under fives go in for free.

HAVERING
Main event is on Friday 2nd November, at Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch. The entertainment starts at 6.00pm, the fireworks begin at 7.30pm. Entry is free to all.

HILLINGDON
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November; the display is called 'Fire your Imagination.' The event includes laser effects and takes place at the Hayes stadium. Gates open at 7.00pm. Entry is £7.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.

HOUNSLOW
Firework event to celebrate bonfire night and Diwali. Event is on Saturday 10th November at Lampton Park, on Lampton Road. The fireworks are at 8.30pm, and there is a funfair from 6.00pm till 10.00pm. Entry is free, but it costs £1.00 to park.

ISLINGTON
No official firework displays.

KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
No official firework displays.

KINGSTON UPON THAMES
Main event is on Friday 2nd November at Kingsmeadow Athletic Stadium, on Kingston Road. Gates open at 6.30pm, fireworks begin at 7.45pm. Entry is £3.00 on the night (for both adults and children).

Tickets are available in advance, priced £2.00, either at Kingsmeadow Athletic Stadium or at Kingston Tourism Information Centre, Market Place, Kingston. For more information, call 020 547 5016 (sorry, no credit card bookings by phone).

LAMBETH
Main event is on Monday 5th November at Streatham Common. Firework display begins at 7.30pm, entry is free. Another event is taking place at Clapham Common, on 5th November. Display also begins at 7.30pm; this event is also free.

LEWISHAM
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November, on Blackheath. Gates open at 6.30pm, the firework display begins at 8,00pm. There is no parking but entry is free.

MERTON
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November at Morden Park. There are two firework displays, one is at 6.30pm, and the other is at 8.15pm. Entry is £5.50 for adults and £3.50 for children. Under fives go in free. There will be a funfair and food stalls. The other display is on the 5th November, at Wimbledon Park (prices are the same as for the Morden Park event).

NEWHAM
Main event is on Saturday 3rd November at Becton District Park (South), London E6. Organised by 'New Leisure Services,' entry is free. The funfair begins at 6.00pm, fireworks are at 7.30pm. The event includes a fire sculpture. As there is no parking, it's best to go by foot or public transport - nearest tube station is Becton Park station, or the number 300 and 376 buses go directly to Becton Park South.

REDBRIDGE
Main event is on Friday 2nd February at Goodmayes Park. Gates open at 5.00pm. Tickets cost £3.00 for all ages, although a family ticket is available for £7.00 (2 adults, 2 children.). Another display is taking place in Valentines Park, organised by the Round Table of Redbridge.

RICHMOND UPON THAMES
No event happening at all in Richmond.

SOUTHWARK
Main event is on Monday 5th November at Burgess Park. The bonfire is expected to be over 50 feet in height, and is going to be lit at 6.45pm, followed by a firework display at 7.00pm. A funfair is open from 5.00pm to 8.30pm. For more info call: 020 7703 4534.

SUTTON
The main event is on Saturday 3rd November at Carshalton Park. The Carshalton Round Table has organised the event. Tickets are £3.00 in advance, but £4.00 on the night of the bonfire. Gates open at 6.00pm, the firework display is at 7.00pm.

TOWER HAMLETS
Event is on Friday 2nd November, at Mile End Stadium, on Rhodeswell Road, E14. Tickets are available in advance at £1.00 for adults, 50p for children, on the night tickets are £2.00 for adults, and £1.00 for children. Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks start at 8.30pm. The event includes a funfair, live music, and a licensed bar. Information line number: 020 7337 2752.

WALTHAM FOREST
Main event is on Sunday 4th November at Waltham Forest Pool and Track, Chingford Road E17. Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks start at 7.30pm. Entry is £3.00 for adults, £2.00 for under 16s, and under fives go in free. Information on 020 8496 3000.

WANDSWORTH
Friday 2nd November, on Wandsworth Park, Entry is free, gates open at 7.30pm, and fireworks begin at 8.00pm. On the 3rd November, there is a display at Battersea Park. Entry is £3.00 for anyone over the age of 10. Gates open at 7.30pm, display starts at 8.00pm.

WESTMINSTER
No local firework displays are happening; residents are advised to go to either the display at Primrose Hill in Camden, or the Lord Mayors display on 10th November.
