It may be on its fifth outing but Big Brother is proving more popular than last year.

And it's probably because this time around it's offering the very real possibility of an extra ingredient - sex.

The temperature soared on Monday night as the 12 contestants - among them two gays, one lesbian, one transsexual and two bisexuals - took part in a raunchy game of dare.

Geordie model Michelle, 23, shared a kiss with 20-year-old Stuart and sucked his nose in the treatment room, which housemates have dubbed the Love Shack.

Gay student Marco, Oldham girl Emma, transsexual Nadia, and Londoner Victor also took part, indulging in a little groping and footlicking.

But Stuart refused Emma's dare to run around the garden naked - proving that, even with eviction always looming, there was a limit to how far he would go.

The Channel 4 show had 3.3million viewers and a 15 per cent audience share after 10pm on Monday, compared with 14 per cent last year.

This will delight producers after the show was dubbed boring by critics.
