Phoebe Dynevor shares heartfelt tribute alongside Coronation Street star mother following grandmother’s death

Phoebe Dynevor paid tribute to her grandmother Shirley Dyvenor on Friday following her death aged 89 earlier this week.

The Bridgerton star, 27, shared her father Tim’s social media post, which featured a picture of his late mother to her Instagram Stories.

The British actress’s mother Sally, who plays Sally Metcalfe on ITV soap Coronation Street, also shared the same post as she remembered her mother-in-law.

Taking to his Instagram feed, Tim penned: “Mum - May 15, 1933 - January 10, 2023”. No further information about the cause of death was given.

After the sharing the news on social media, Tim’s post was inundated with condolences from many of Sally’s Corrie co-stars.

Sacha Parkin, who played Sian Powers on the soap, commented: “Sending lots of love to you all” while Ryan Thomas, who starred as mechanic Jason Grimshaw, shared a red heart emoji.

Abi Franklin actress Sally Carman also shared her well wishes and penned: “Thinking of you”.

Born in Cardiff in 1933, Shirley Dyvenor shot to fame as an actress in the 1950s starring in TV series Charlesworth. Following her initial success, she went on to appear in other shows such as Family Solicitor, The Liars, The Wednesday Play and Rogue Male.

Sally and her screenwriter husband Tim wed in 1995 and share three children, Phoebe, Samuel, 25, and 19-year-old Harriet.

The soap star has been a regular on Coronation Street since 1986 and even received an MBE in 2022 for her services to drama while daughter Phoebe shot to fame in 2020 playing Daphne Bridgerton alongside Regé-Jean Page in hit Netflix series, Bridgerton.
