Legendary Fun House host Pat Sharp has reunited with the famous twin sisters from the popular 1990s children’s show, to fans’ delight.

The 60-year-old was seen in a photo, posted on his Instagram, posing happily beside twins Melanie and Martina Grant, who first appeared on Fun House aged 16 in 1989 and went on to become the faces of the show during its 10-year run.

The twins were typically seen swinging pom poms in the air in cheerleading outfits and leading contestants from one part of the playful studio to another.

In the picture, the twins, who are now in their 50s, looked just as upbeat as their onscreen personas back in the 1990s.

He captioned: “Your actual Fun House twins @funhousetwins2 yesterday @letsrock80s in Kent. Melanie & Martina having their best day xx.”

Fun House began airing on CITV in 1989 and ended in December 1999 and saw children from different schools compete against each other in groups in an effort to win a prize.

Fans were happy to see Sharp back with the twins as they reacted to the photo.

One person wrote: “Many happy memories of the peak of CITV, Friday’s after school were always either Fun House or Knightmare. Amazing times Pat.”

A second jokily said: “Bet it was a whole lotta fun, was there prizes to be won? Real crazy show, where anything goes, Thanks for staying AWESOME!"

"Need to bring back the #Funhouse for Saturday Nights TV,” one former viewer urged, as another agreed: "Can you bring it back for adults that never grew up? Would be a childhood dream come true to be on this show."

Sharp previously reunited with the Fun House twin sisters in 2020, as he appeared on This Morning to promote his book Re-Run the Fun: My Life as Pat Sharp.

The former children’s host was surprised with a pre-recorded message from the twins on the show, as they sent their congratulations to him for his new book.

Martina said at the time: “Hi Pat, hi Phil, Hi Holly, I’m one of the twins from Fun House but Pat you know that anyway. Just flicked through the book to find my name, but who doesn’t do that."
