Mis-Teeq label goes bust

Record label Telstar, the home of girl band Mis-Teeq, has collapsed with debts of £8million.

Mis-Teeq members Su-Elise Nash, 22, Alesha Dixon and Sabrina Washington, both 25, were reportedly told they would not receive thousands of pounds in royalties from their hit albums, which would be used instead to pay off creditors.

A source said: 'They have been left high and dry and are understandably furious about how Telstar has behaved.' The label has been in financial difficulty for some time.

Director Sean O'Brien blamed the collapse on people downloading music from the Internet.
