Miley Cyrus has been granted court-ordered protection against a man she claims has shown “obsessive behaviour” towards her, just days after he was released from prison.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the 30-year-old filed a temporary restraining order against Alexander Kardalian, who she claims has a “dangerous fixation and, or obsession” with her since 2018, this week.

As a result of the filing, a judge signed off on her request for a restraining order, ruling that the 52-year-old is now banned from contacting the Used to be Young singer, attending her concerts or public events.

He also must stay 100 metres away from Cyrus, her home, vehicle, and any venues she’s performing at.

The American star alleged that Kardalian turned up at her house twice last summer, where he was escorted away both times before being arrested in December 2022.

She also claims in the filing that he showed up at her property days after he was released from San Quentin State Prison in August, having allegedly sent a letter saying he intended to visit once he was out of jail.

Her security team are said to have stopped him from seeing the singer, and they notified the police when he visited the property.

Cyrus also alleges Kardalian has been using her address for his health insurance and said he has previously made several requests for money, as well as allegedly making sexually-charged comments about her.

The Standard has contacted Miley Cyrus’ rep for comment.
