Married at First Sight UK is returning and dating specialists Charlene Douglas, Melanie Schilling and Paul Brunson will also be back, assisting the newlywed couples in navigating their relationships. As is customary, the brides and grooms will walk down the aisle together before exchanging vows in a lavish ceremony.

But when does the show start and who are the brides and grooms for 2023?

When does Married at First Sight 2023 UK start?

On September 5, the dating series released its cast but no start date has yet been given. The upcoming season will have 36 episodes, according to E4, the show's longest run ever.

The brides

Laura, 34

Laura says she knows what she wants and what she doesn’t want
Channel 4

Laura enjoys luxury and spends the majority of her weekends in Chelsea. She admits to owning a lot of designer handbags and loves them.

Her ex-partner unexpectedly ended their marriage; however, Laura is successful and knows what she wants and doesn't want in life. She said she was still hopeful for love, saying: “I have my fingers firmly crossed for a positive outcome – I don’t want another divorce.”

Peggy, 32

Peggy is known for being choosy

Peggy enjoys the glamorous lifestyle but she has yet to find the perfect man. She has earned the nickname “Picky Peggy” and is now more than prepared for her knight in shining armour.

Peggy declared: “I want that lover and someone who can also be my best friend.”

Jay, 31

Jay is the life and soul of the party
Channel 4

Jay has a reputation for being naturally hilarious. Her upbeat attitude and energy are contagious in a gathering of people. She has only recently started dating and is seeking the right partner to start a family with. I do believe that everything occurs for a reason, she added, saying she hoped the show had chosen the appropriate man for her.

Porscha, 36

Porscha says she is a traditionalist about love

Porscha has conventional values and is a traditionalist when it comes to love. She is a devoted single mother who places a high value on her Christian religion.

“I'm trying not to think too much about the fact that I'm marrying a total stranger because I'll probably psych myself out.” she added.

Rosaline, 28

Rosaline has been single for six months
Channel 4

Rosaline was raised in Crewe and is a quirky ball of energy. She grew raised surrounded by animals on a working farm.

After her ex-boyfriend left her, which she claims was a complete shock and destroyed her heart, she has been single for six months. “I'm excited, but I'm also quite nervous." she remarked.

Shona, 31

Shona has a spiritual side
Channel 4

Shona does not hesitate to express her opinions. She describes herself as a truly free spirit who is unaffected by criticism from others. She is interested in yoga and spirituality.

According to her: “My happily ever after would be for him and I to go through the experiment and really try and grow together.”

Ella, 29

Ella would like to have children one day
Channel 4

Ella calls herself and her grandmother, with whom she shares a home, “the dynamic duo everyone needs in their life”. No one else in the world, according to Ella, is closer to her.

The 29-year-old is in love and ecstatic about the prospect of one day starting a family with the right person. This experiment is far more than just me getting married, she declared. "I see this as a big deal for someone who has transitioned."

Tasha, 35

Tasha is putting her faith in the experts to find her the right man

She is searching for a partner who shares her longing for children because she aspires to one day establish a family of her own.

She said: “I have faith in the experts that I could find the love of my life – the Ant to my Dec.”

The grooms

Brad, 27

Brad believes people fall in love three times

As long as Brad is being himself, he doesn't care what other people think of him. Brad is confident and at ease with who he is.

He is adamant that people fall in love three times, therefore he is hopeful that Married at First Sight UK will be his third chance. “I trust the experts with all my heart that they have matched me well.” he declared.

Arthur, 34

Arthur is ready for the love of his life

When Arthur was 16 years old, his mother and stepfather moved him to England from Poland. He was forced to raise his one-year-old sibling without knowing a word of English so that his parents could work.

Now that he is a successful tennis teacher, Arthur travels to train the best players in the world. Arthur longs for the fairytale he has imagined since he was a small boy and is ready for that dedicated, loving relationship. He declared: “I'm ready to find the love of my life.”

Luke, 30

Luke knows he can build a strong relationship with the right woman

Luke considers himself to be the humorous one but hasn’t found a female who is ready to give it her all. He has received his fair share of rejection over the years and calls his love life “a mess”. He has had enough of dating apps.

“I'm really open, so I know I can make things work and build,” he added. “I'm just hoping she has the same attitude.”

Georges, 30

Georges thinks he is fantastic
Channel 4

Georges views himself as odd and fantastic and has been single for the past four years. He is blunt and fearless of upsetting others.

“I said to the experts that I will give 120%,” he said.

Paul, 26

Paul tends to have shorter-term relationships

Paul is incredibly active and lives an exciting life. He enjoys football, boxing and working out in the gym. He hopes to meet someone who shares his philosophy of life.

He has tried repeatedly to establish healthy relationships but nothing ever seems to last.

Nathaniel, 36

Nathaniel has a jet-set lifestyle

Nathaniel is constantly on the move thanks to his career and his jet-set lifestyle. He is looking for love, is open-minded and is determined to make the right connection.

He said: “I don't trust anyone but myself but I hope they’ve done a good job that's all I can say!”

Thomas, 27

Thomas hopes to find someone who will get on with his cats

Thomas, an animal-loving gentleman, is searching for a soulmate who will embrace him as well as his feline companions. Thomas developed a taste for travel and adventure while living in Indonesia with his family during his adolescence.

Terence, 40

Reaching 40 is a turning point for Terence and he wants to settle down

Father-of-three Terence is the heart and soul of the gathering and has a pure heart. He has been unmarried and leading a bachelor lifestyle for the past two years, but reaching 40 marked a turning point, and he now feels ready to meet the right person.
