Lisa Armstrong has shared a cryptic post on Twitter hinting at her true feelings over her divorce from Ant McPartlin.

McPartlin announced the end of his 11-year marriage to Armstrong earlier this month, with reports suggesting that he was ready to hand over half of his £62 million fortune to stay out of court.

The make-up artist is yet to formally break her silence over the divorce with a statement but has been active on social media and 'liking' tweets from supportive fans.

Earlier this week, Armstrong retweeted one post from a fan who said they had been in the same position she is now and shared her “mantra” with Armstrong.

The motto read: “Life is going to get hard sometimes. So get the f*** up and get your s*** together. You’re either an ocean or a puddle.

“Don’t be a puddle. People walk through puddles like they’re nothing. Oceans f****** destroy cities,” it continued.

Armstrong – who is head make-up artist on Strictly – also liked a post from a well-wishing fan saying: “Your unconditional love & support made A who he is. Easy to think you don’t want UNTIL you don’t have…never be another you.”

An image accompanied the tweet, with a quote reading: “I’m not like other girls. That’s where you made your first mistake.”

McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – affectionately known as Ant and Dec – picked up three gongs at the National Television Awards, including Best Presenters for a 17th year in a row.

During their acceptance speech, McPartlin was visibly emotional as he thanked everyone for their support during a “tough 12 months”.
