Singer Kylie Minogue landed at Sydney airport on Sunday, saying she was "thrilled to be back" in Australia and excited about being back on tour at last.

Minogue, 38, had to postpone the Australian leg of her Showgirl Homecoming tour when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year.

She says she has been dreaming about her comeback show in Sydney on November 11, making it up to loyal fans who held on to their concert tickets.

"I travelled with pretty much all the band, the dancers, so we're on tour again, whoa!" a fit and healthy looking Minogue told reporters at Sydney Airport as she jumped up and down clapping her hands.

Wearing a broad smile, jeans and a white-collared shirt over a black top, she wound down a window of a waiting black limousine, waving and greeting wellwishers on the tarmac.

The Melbourne-born former soapie star turned pop sensation said last week that her breast cancer ordeal has made her embrace her musical career even more.

She recently said her boyfriend, French actor Olivier Martinez, had put everything aside to help her during her battle with cancer.

Her first public event is expected to be in Sydney on Wednesday where she will launch her own fragrance, Darling.
