Kim Kardashian is back in the US and on a social media blackout following her attack in Paris on Monday morning.

The reality star, who reportedly had £9 million worth of jewellery stolen during a raid on her apartment, is yet to speak out about the ordeal, which saw her dragged from her bed, bound and gagged by five men.

While the Kardashians stay silent about the attack, police are still hunting the gang who committed the crime.

Here’s everything we know so far:

1. It was a planned attack by an organised gang

According to French authorities, Kardashian was attacked by an organised gang of five men who were dressed as police officers.

Johanna Primevert, chief spokeswoman for the Paris police department, told the Associated Press: "This is the result of people who obviously posed as policemen and who assaulted Ms Kardashian in a private hotel in her room by threat of a weapon.

"This kind of incident is extremely rare in Paris. This is a star who is famous worldwide. Do not confuse what happened to Ms Kardashian and probably was the result of an organised team who had planned their action with the assault of a tourist in front of Notre Dame (cathedral) or another tourist spot in Paris."

2. It happened in the early hours of Monday morning in the 8th arrondissment

The attack happened at 2.25am on Monday morning when the gang gained entry to the luxury rented mansion after threatening the concierge with guns.

He was handcuffed and forced to open the apartment door, which is when the men made their way into Kardashian’s bedroom.

They reportedly dragged her out of bed, bound and gagged her and put her in the bath. They then locked her in the bathroom.

3. Jewellery and phones were stolen

According to the prosecutor’s office, the gang stole jewellery and a jewellery box thought to be worth around £9 million.

They also thought to have taken two phones and the star’s new replica engagement ring, which is worth £3.5 million.

4. Her security wasn’t there

Kardashian’s personal bodyguard Pascal Duvier was at a nightclub called Arc at the time of the attack, accompanying Kourtney Kardashian.

Speaking to MailOnline, Duvier said: “The events that occurred in Paris was one of the most sickening things I have seen or heard.

“We have tips and leads and we will find you. That I promise you...you messed with the wrong one.”

5. What happens next

Kardashian is now back in New York with husband Kanye West, who was performing in the city at the time of the attack.

West is reportedly keen to return to Paris to help police with their investigations, but will remain with his wife for the time being.

Police are currently checking phone records and doing background checks on anyone the star has come into contact with over the last few days as well as the CCTV footage of the masked intruders leaving on motorbikes.
