Katy Perry and Russell Brand hot 'n' cold amid rumours of marriage counselling
Katy Perry is reportedly seeking a marriage counsellor only three months after she wed Russell Brand.
The American singer is said to have asked friends to recommend a therapist, as the couple's work commitments force them to lead increasingly separate lives.
According to reports, eyebrows were raised when Perry did not visit Brand as he completed filming his movie Arthur in New York.
The couple married in October in a lavish six-day celebration in India following a 10-month engagement.
Cracks appeared in December when Brand, 35, posted an unflattering photo of his make-up-free wife on Twitter. It was taken down but not before it had gone viral. The pair had previously used the site incessantly but Brand last sent his wife a tweet in November.
Perry, 26, is set to leave on a nine-month world tour, with Brand in New York to finish the shoot with co-star Jennifer Garner. A source told Life and Style magazine Perry had "started asking friends to recommend a marriage counsellor". When Russell filmed Arthur in the summer "Katy was around all the time", a source said. However, during recent reshoots "she hasn't been by".
But the singer recently revealed she had scheduled breaks to see Brand during her 95-date California Dreams tour, saying: "I think you can have it all. You have to make ties for things you love."
