Johnny looks a right Charlie

Here's Johnny Depp looking a bit of a 'plonka' in his new film role as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Dressed in a long red coat and top hat, Depp's character is expected to be more sinister than in the original 1971 movie, which starred Gene Wilder.

Depp has been filming the adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel with director Tim Burton at Pinewood Studios, Bucks. Due to be released in 2005, it also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Freddie Highmore as Charlie.
