Housemates start first task

The housemates have been set their first-ever task by Big Brother today - plate decorating.

Nadia read out the instructions for the two-hour task left for the house by Big Brother, which specified that all housemates must complete the task - a possible reference to the rebellious Kitten.

The instructions were: "Big Brother has set you a task, plate decorating. Big Brother has placed 12 white plates, coloured paint, brushes and sponges in the storeroom.

"Housemates will be free to decorate these plates with designs of their choice. On completion you will be asked to explain your design to the rest of the group. Big Brother will then ask housemates to return the plates for glazing after which you will be free to keep them in the house to use as you wish."

The task has no effect on their weekly shopping budget, instead the housemates will find out details of any reward on completion of the task.
