Game of Thrones star Lena Headey has revealed that she’ll be using crutches for the next six weeks due to a foot injury.

The 49-year-old actress took to Instagram on Monday to share a photo of her left foot encased in a cast and the other in a Birkenstock alongside crutches and captioned it: “F**k. 6 weeks. One Birk only.”

Headey, most known for her portrayal of Cersei Lannister in the HBO fantasy series, didn’t divulge the specifics of her injury or how it occurred.

Her Game of Thrones colleague Nathalie Emmanuel wrote in the comments: “Oh nooooo! Wishing you a swift recovery!”

Emmanuel’s well-wishes led to many teasing her over the comment as her character in the series had met a grim fate at the hands of Cersei in the show. “Such kind words, considering she had your head cut off,” wrote one fan.

Another follower quipped, “You’re still being quite kind to her after what she did to you?”

Just a couple of days before, Headey had shared a picture of herself relaxing with her feet up on the same chair in her beloved Birkenstocks.

Headey has been keeping fans on Instagram updated on what she’s been up to post Game Of Thrones.

Last October, she married Ozark actor Marc Menchaca, 47, in a ceremony held in Puglia, Italy attended by a select group of friends and family, including her Game of Thrones co-stars Peter Dinklage and Sophie Turner.

The actress shares son Wylie, 13, with ex-husband, musician Peter Paul Loughran, whom she married in 2007 and divorced in 2013.

In 2015, she welcomed her daughter, Teddy, with ex-boyfriend, director Dan Cadan, a childhood friend.

The couple split in 2018, two years before she began her relationship with Menchaca.
