Ed Sheeran’s record-breaking album Divide has scored a second week at the top of the album chart.

The British singer-songwriter’s third studio album has had another week of stellar sales, having sold a further 304,000 combined units in the last seven days.

Last week Sheeran set the record for the fastest-selling album by a male artist, with 672,000 sales in its first week.

Sheeran also holds onto the top spot over in the singles charts as Shape of You hangs on to number one for a tenth week.

The star’s first single from the new album sold an impressive 106,000 units this week alone, after being released earlier this year.

New release Galway Girl sits at this week’s number two spot, while Castle on the Hill is still at number three.

While Coldplay and Chainsmokers are at number four with Something Just Like This, Sheeran rounds off the top five with Perfect.

Rag ‘N’ Bone Man’s Human is still in second position in the album charts, while Sheeran’s X is at number three and Stormzy’s Gang Signs and Prayer is at number four.

Gok Wan has made a surprising entry over in the Classical Compilations Chart with his album, Gok’s Divas, taking the number one spot.

He told Officialcharts.com: “It's difficult to express what a wonderful experience curating this album has been – and to be Number 1 in the chart is a dream come true!”
