Drew Barrymore's half-sister Jessica found dead in California
Drew Barrymore’s half-sister Jessica has been found dead.
The Donnie Darko actress’s sister Jessica Barrymore was discovered dead in her car in National City, California, on Tuesday morning after a suspected suicide.
Jessica was due to celebrate her 48th birthday on the July 31, but was found reportedly surrounded by several white pills in the passenger seat of her car.
A woman named Marta Lopez discovered Jessica’s body when she found she was unable to get out of her driveway to leave for work, as Jessica’s car was blocking her in, reports 10News.
Other witnesses in the area where Ms Barrymore’s body was discovered claim that the red car had been there since midnight the night before her body was found.
A cause of death has not yet been determined; however an autopsy on the body has been scheduled.
Jessica was the daughter of actor John Drew Barrymore – also the father of actress Drew Barrymore – and his third wife Nina Wayne.
