Radio presenter Nick Grimshaw has revealed that he shared a kiss with Rita Ora while watching the Rolling Stones at Glastonbury.

Grimshaw – who joined this year’s X Factor as a judge alongside Ora – made the admission after the Poison singer said she attempted to kiss him but was “shut down”.

In a clip from the Xtra Factor – which will air on Saturday night – Ora described her encounter with Grimshaw to presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odom.

“I tried to get off with him at Glastonbury once,” she said. “He completely shut me down.”

But Grimshaw was keen to set the record straight and confessed that the two did share a kiss.

Speaking on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, the DJ said: “It’s not really how it happened. We were sharing a caravan me and Rita and a few of our friends, and there was one room with a double bed so we shared.

“Over the course of the weekend we got closer and we all went to watch the Rolling Stones with all of our friends who were in relationships. It would get to a romantic song or a bit of a moment and everyone was sort of cuddling and stuff and we were like ‘Why don’t we have boyfriends?’. So then we decided to get off with each other for a bit.”

Despite describing his fellow X Factor judge as “wonderful” he said “we’ve not kissed since then” before joking: “But she’s single now so who knows.”

X Factor is on Saturday and Sunday at 8pm with the Xtra Factor following on ITV2.
