Singer Ella Eyre entertained famous faces at the Evening Standard’s Progress 1000 party.

Eyre, 21, surprised guests with a flash mob performance of the official England Rugby World Cup single Swing Low Sweet Chariot at the ninth annual edition of The 1000, hosted at Canary Wharf’s new Crossrail station.

As attendees including Roman Abramovich and Cressida Bonas sipped on cocktails, members of the London Contemporary Voices Choir started singing from the crowd before Waiting All Night singer Eyre joined them.

The choir then stepped down for the Brit Award winning singer to take centre stage as she rounded off her set with an acoustic performance of Even If.

Earlier in the evening the choir sang Zadok the Priest before Mayor of London Boris Johnson made a speech.

The party celebrating the most influential Londoners featured a glamorous guest list including fashion designer Henry Holland, rugby union player Danny Cipriani, actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw and former Spice Girl Geri Horner.
