Stormzy joined protestors at the Black Lives Matter demonstration in London on Sunday.

The rapper, 26, took a stand alongside thousands of others in the capital in response to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last month.

Stormzy, real name Michael Omari Owuo Jr, was photographed wearing a black vest and baseball cap as well as a black face mask by Trapstar.

He was pictured attending the march with fitness trainer Armz Korleone, who told Metro.co.uk that Stormzy was there to “peacefully support a positive movement.”

Other stars attending the London protests have so far included John Boyega, Madonna, Rio and Kate Ferdinand, Anthony Joshua and Love Island’s Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge.

Star Wars star Boyega was widely praised for his powerful speech at the Black Lives Matter protest in Hyde Park last week.

The actor was visibly emotional as he spoke of the death of Floyd and other African-Americans shot by police, as well as the murder of Stephen Lawrence in the UK.

After telling the crowd that he didn’t know “if I’m going to have a career after this,” many filmmakers and film industry figures shared their support for him, including Jordan Peele, the Oscar-winning creator of Get Out, actress and director Olivia Wilde and Boyega’s Star Wars director JJ Abrams.

46-year-old Floyd, an unarmed African-American, died in police custody after he was pinned at the neck by a police officer for nearly nine minutes.

His death has sparked Black Lives Matter around the globe. Former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin has since had his murder charge changed from third-degree to a more severe second-degree charge.

Three other former officers have also now been charged with aiding and abetting the killing.
