Stacey Solomon revealed that she has not yet left the house with her baby son Rex over fears for her newborn.

The Loose Women panellist, who welcomed her first son with partner Joe Swash last month, shared a photo of her holding her son in a wearable baby carrier.

“We haven’t ventured out for a walk yet but I’m definitely coming round to the idea!” she admitted in the caption, before joking that “a change of scenery and putting on clothes that consist of a material that isn’t pyjama is starting to feel appealing.”

“I don’t know why I feel so wierd [sic] about leaving the house,” she continued. “I never felt like this with Leighton [Solomon’s seven-year-old son].”

Solomon went on to reveal that she has “weird thoughts” that “someone might see us all vulnerable” or that “there might be some kind of air born [sic] virus going around outside.”

“Believe me I am totally aware of how crazy that sounds,” she added. “But hey ho hormones are a crazy thing (I hope it’s that anyway). I think I just need to bite the bullet and get out there.”

The star’s Instagram followers rushed to reassure her that her thoughts were “completely normal” and praised her for being “honest” about parenting.

“Not crazy at all,” one fan reassured her. “All a completely normal part of being a new mum. Do what feels right for you and your family.”

“Love how totally honest you are about it all - it is so refreshing because they are real feelings - but we are all too worried to admit it post baby. Enjoy the outing,” another wrote.

“You are so honest and open @staceysolomon that’s why we all love you so much,” a third said.

Swash gave Good Morning Britain viewers an update on his son and Solomon’s progress yesterday as he appeared as a guest host on the ITV breakfast show.

“He’s four weeks old, my little boy,” he told presenters Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway. “He is tiny. He was only a little tiddler but he’s put on loads of weight now so he’s back to birth weight.”

He went on to reveal that Solomon is “doing amazingly” and described her as a “warrior”.

“Now I know why women do it because it was down to us we would never have kids, would we?” he joked.
