Sophie Gradon’s boyfriend Aaron Armstrong has been found dead weeks after announcing the Love Island star had died.

Mr Armstrong’s body was found by police at his home in Blyth, Northumberland, in the early hours of Tuesday.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At around 12.20pm on July 10 police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth.

“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”

Tributes poured in from those who knew Mr Armstrong including Zara Holland, who starred alongside Gradon on Love Island in 2016.

She tweeted: "Awful news, RIP Aaron."

His death comes days after he attended Gradon’s funeral after she died, aged 32, on June 20.

He posted an emotional tribute to his girlfriend on Instagram, telling his followers that he couldn't "stop crying".

Alongside an image of the funeral order of service, Mr Armstrong wrote: “I love you with all my heart my beautiful angel...

“I'm absolutely heartbroken I can't stop crying and I can feel your spirit in my soul... RIP Sophie Hannah Gradon.”

On Monday he shared a picture of himself with Gradon, saying he misses his "princess [...] so much".

He posted: "Just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much man Sophie not a minute goes by with out your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back I love you princess."

Mr Armstrong was left devastated by her death, which he announced in a heartbreaking social media post last month.

He shared a picture of himself and the former Miss Great Britain on Facebook, writing: "I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your my world forever ever and always."
