Katie Price has revealed her terminally ill mother Amy Price is “struggling”, revealing “she hasn’t got long” to live.

The Loose Women panellist opened up about her mother’s health battle with lung condition Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).

Price told how even a simple cold could cause Amy to die “within a month.”

Speaking to Now Magazine, she explained: “My mum is dying, it’s that simple. They normally diagnose is three to five years but Mum has already had to change her life.

“She’s sold her house because of the stairs. She really struggles with them. But she could get a cold now not get rid of it, and die within month – that’s how bad it is... Either way, she hasn’t got long.”

The mother-of-five told how the illness has been “hard” on her children and added that when her mother is forced to start “wearing the oxygen mask it will really hit.”

However, she did add that despite the illness Amy is determined to complete her bucket list.

She explained: “Mum is having the time of her life right now completing her bucket list. It's not a normal situation but she's doing as much as she can.

“Actually, she's on a cruise right now. I tell her ‘Good for you Mum, do it all now, because you can't take it with you.’”

Price will pound London's streets on April 22 alongside around 40,000 other runners in the gruelling event as part of a fundraising drive for the British Lung Foundation who have supported Amy.

IPF causes fibrosis, or scarring of the lungs, which makes them stiffer, so it is difficult to breathe, according to the British Lung Foundation.

Around 6,000 people a year suffer from the disease, which worsens over time. Its cause is unknown and there is no cure.

Fans of Price will be able to see her caring for her mother and dealing with the fallout from her marriage split in the second series of her reality show, My Crazy Life.

She has shot scenes in which she looks after Amy in the months following her shock diagnosis.
