Scarlett Johansson has reportedly filed for divorce from second husband Romain Dauriac following their recent break-up.

The A-list actress, who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds, is thought to started proceedings on Tuesday after the couple called it quits at the beginning of the year.

Dauriac’s lawyer, Harold Mayerson, told the New York Post’s Page Six that the journalist would “like to move to France with his daughter and Ms. Johansson does a lot of traveling.”

Johansson and Dauriac tied the knot in October 2014, just a few months after the birth of their daughter Rose Dorothy.

In an interview last week, Johansson said that he was convinced that monogamy wasn’t ‘natural’, telling Playboy:

“I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it’s a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing.

“I don’t think it’s natural to be a monogamous person. I might be skewered for that, but I think it’s work. It’s a lot of work.”

She added: “Being married is different than not being married, and anybody who tells you that it’s the same is lying. It changes things. It’s a beautiful responsibility, but it’s a responsibility.”

Johansson has fuelled rumours of a split after being spotted out and about without her wedding ring in recent months.

Evening Standard Online had contacted Johansson’s representative for comment.
