Twitter clamoured to congratulate The Saturdays star Frankie Sandford today as she announced the birth of her first child, a son called Parker.

The 24-year-old singer posted a message on Twitter this morning saying her first child with footballer boyfriend Wayne Bridge had arrived and that both mother and baby were well.

She wrote: "Wayne and I are so proud to say our little boy Parker Bridge was born this morning. 7lb 13oz. All doing well and absolutely besotted."

Bandmate Mollie King piped up with her congratulations on Twitter: "So unbelievably happy for Frankie and Wayne on this incredible day. I need to meet little Parker, I can't wait! I love him already."

The singer is the third member of The Saturdays to have a baby - Una Foden, married to rugby player Ben Foden, gave birth to daughter Aoife 19 months ago, while Rochelle Humes and her JLS singer husband Marvin Humes welcomed their daughter, Alaia-Mai, in May.
