There was a mini Sex and the City reunion at the Gardeners of Eden screening in New York as Sarah Jessica Parker and Michael Patrick King showed up to support Kristin Davis.

Doing nothing to quash speculation that there’s a third instalment of the film franchise in the pipeline, the actresses posed for photos with the show’s director.

While she might have wanted to stay in after the Met Gala the night before, Parker chose to head out to the Norwood Club to see the wildlife documentary produced by her good friend.

Both Davis and Parker have spoken about their eagerness to make a third SATC film, and have admitted that they’ve been in talks.

Speaking on The Today Show earlier this week, Davis said: “I still have no idea if it's happening. But I would absolutely be involved in it."

For now, Davis is focusing on her new documentary, which follows the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, documenting their efforts to stop illegal elephant poaching.

Davis financed the project herself, admitting that despite the fact that there was no marketing budget; she badly wanted the film to get made.

She said: “We need that money for the orphans, and we don't have a PR budget. We don't have a marketing budget.

“And I'm really hugely lucky to be successful, so I wanted to spend my own money. I'm doing this all on my own because I just want to raise awareness before it's too late.”
