TV bosses are reportedly plotting to fly the Only Way is Essex star out to Australia to join her former fiancé on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - just as his new romance with model Amy Willerton is heating up.

Sam and Joey split in the summer but claimed to still love each other at the time, so ITV producers are hopeful bringing the busty blonde into the camp to would be "TV gold".

A show inside told The Sun newspaper: "They're really keen to get her as Joey and Amy's friendship looks set to develop into more. So Sam turning up will throw a spanner in the works.

"It will be a nightmare for Joey, which means TV gold. Sam and Joey are pals, so there won't be a fallout at first.

"But there'll be tension. Who wants an ex there when you're chatting up someone?"

Joey and Amy have become increasingly flirtatious over the last few days, prompting camp mate Rebecca Adlington to joke that watching the Miss Universe Great Britain beauty give the 23-year-old star a steamy back rub was like "watching porn".

Their blossoming romance was even backed by Amy's younger sister Erin, who tweeted, "OMG Amy and Joey are so cute."

While the model has remained coy about the possibility of romance, co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are convinced a jungle relationship will blossom.

Ant commented: "I think there could be romance. We would all love it to happen. This is the only time in the past few years when I've thought it possibly could."

Dec laughed: "They have the same colour teeth, the same colour tan and the same wavy hair, so something could blossom there. It's one to watch."
