Robbie Williams appeared to take inspiration from Kim Kardashian as he hit the red carpet for the X Factor auditions.

Williams, 44, channelled Kardashian’s 2013 Met Gala look as he arrived on the arm of his wife, and fellow judge Ayda Field, in a floral suit.

The Angels singer made sure to stand out in the navy number with flower prints which he teamed with a pair of studded shoes at Monday’s round of auditions in London.

Despite the loud number, Field looked close to outshining her husband in a white cape jacket dress which she wore with strappy metallic heels.

The mother-of-two took time to mingle with fans lining the red carpet outside the SSE Arena as she posed for selfies and signed autographs.

The husband and wife duo were also joined by fellow new judge Louis Tomlinson who hitched a lift with head judge Simon Cowell.

The music mogul drove up to the red carpet with Tomlinson in tow in a car marked with the number plate XF1.

The four piece, who were announced as this year’s judging panel at a press conference last week, have replaced Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger. Sharon Osbourne will return later this year as an impartial judge during the live shows.

Tomlinson was forced to reassure fans that his music will not take a back seat now he’s on the panel after some feared it may delay the release of his debut solo album.

Speaking in a video to his millions of fans he promised them music is “definitely my priority” and that the reality show could help his solo career.

Tomlinson, who found fame on the show as one fifth of hit boy band One Direction in 2010, said he has “always been interested in mentoring”.

Tomlinson's former bandmate Niall Horan said he is “delighted,” tweeting: “Absolutely delighted for ya @Louis_Tomlinson . Going back home to @TheXFactor but as a judge this Time . Huge news!! @SimonCowell.”

Tomlinson thanked his “mate” for the tweet telling Horan: “Thank you so much mate! Miss you lad.”

Speaking about his decision to shake up the panel Cowell said: "I'm going to be honest, for me the most important thing when you create a panel is you've got to have good looking people, which is why I chose myself.

"We have tried to get Robbie on every show we have made for 18 years and then for Ayda and Lauren [Silverman] they became friends

"It all happened so quickly. They came to Britain's Got Talent one night and it all seemed perfect, they came back to my house, we had a little chat on the balcony and did the deal."

The X Factor returns to screens later this year
