Proud mum Madonna shares photo of Lourdes
Madonna has said she is “so proud” of daughter Lourdes, who appears to be following in her mother’s showbiz footsteps.
The Vogue singer shared a picture of 17-year-old dressed a glamorous French maid ahead of a school theatre production.
The 50-year-old, posted the photo to Twitter, writing: 'Lola as a French Maid in A Flea in her Ear! Last show tonight at La Guardia! I'm so proud! #rebelheart #artforfreedom'.
Lourdes, who was playing the role of maid Eugenie the 1907 Georgeds Feydeau play, wore vibrant red lipstick and a white apron as she posed pulling a peace sign for the camera.
The young actress was also wearing a red Kabbalah bracelet, similar to the one her Madonna has sported since 2004, and bore a striking resemblance to her pop star mum.
Sunday’s performance took place at the LaGuardia Performing Arts school in Manhattan, which Lourdes currently attends. However, it is reported by E! that Lourdes visited the University of Michigan last November, the institution that Madonna attended before moving to New York in 1977.
Madonna has been open about her hopes for Lourdes. She told the NFL network in 2012: 'I want my daughter to go there. I keep telling her, Ann Arbor is an awesome place.'
The teenager, who has reportedly split from Homeland star Timothy Chamalet, 18, also made headlines just a few weeks ago for her role as Betty Rizzo in a school production of Grease.
