Peter Andre has confessed that he regrets buying Fortnite for his son Junior – who now knows the lengths his dad was prepared to go to to stop his gaming.

The Mysterious Girl singer admitted to This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that his 12-year-old boy is a big fan of the co-op survival game on his PlayStation.

Talking about how quickly Junior and Princess, 10, are growing, he gushed over his kids but added: “I’ve just gotta get rid of that game they keep playing, Fortnite.

“I’ve snapped that cable so many times on the back of his Playstation. I did, I snapped the cable and I said I don’t know what happened.”

He continued: “It was an accident, we moved the thing and the cable snapped and he couldn’t play it for three weeks.

“He’s playing it again now. I’m regretting it every minute.”

Regret: Peter Andre joked about his son playing Fortnite

The popular game has enjoyed increasing popularity in recent months, especially among teens, with updates regularly patched to the content.

And while Schofield joked that now Junior knows the real truth about what happened, Andre quipped back that his son wouldn’t be watching the show.

He finished: “Why do they call it Fortnite when they play it every minute? I don’t get that.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
