Paul Hollywood’s wife has been omitted from a new TV show about his life.

The professional baker, 51, makes no mention of Alexandra in the upcoming Channel 4 production, Paul Hollywood: A Baker’s Life, according to reports.

“His mum is heavily featured and he talks a lot about different relatives,” a source told the Sun.

“But Paul ignored his wife and didn’t talk about her on camera at all.

“It felt very strange given he has spent a lot of his life with her and they have a son together.”

The news comes days after Paul and Alexandra announced their split, saying they had decided to separate for the “happiness” of their son.

The couple, who have been married for nearly 20 years, said: “It is with sadness that we have decided to separate.

“Our focus continues to be the happiness of our son, and we would ask the press and public to allow us privacy as a family during this very difficult time.”

Alexandra was reportedly left mortified after Paul was pictured sharing a kiss with 2016 Bake Off champion Candice Brown as they parted ways after the Pride of Britain Awards earlier this month.

A source told The Sun: “Their marriage was coming to an end anyway but this doubtless accelerated things.

“She found the situation mortifying having the marriage being pored over and the fact it kick-started all this speculation once more.”

Brown shot down rumours of a romance with the TV chef, insisting it was simply a “goodbye peck”.

Paul married Alexandra, who is also a chef, in 1998.

They briefly separated in 2013 after he admitted to having an affair with Marcela Valladolid, who was his co-host on the short-lived US version of Bake Off.
