Paris and Prince Jackson honoured their late father Michael Jackson, on what would have been his 60th birthday at the Michael Jackson Diamond Celebration.

The King of Pop, who on Wednesday would have celebrated his 60th birthday, died in 2009 following cardiac arrest due to acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.

The brother and sister duo took to the red carpet at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas to pay tribute to their father by accepting the posthumous award for his humanitarian efforts.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the event, 21-year-old Prince said: "Being here today is definitely an awe-inspiring feeling, because our father was the King of Pop and he did so much.

"He did so much for the music industry, but I think he put emphasis and importance on the charitable contributions to humanity that he really used his platform to [support].

Paris added: “We honour him in our own way, and I don't really expect anyone else to understand besides this dude right here. I'm just happy to be with him."

The pair later playfully took to the stage to imitate the Billie Jean hit-maker’s iconic ‘moonwalk’.

Donning bohemian-chic at the event, 20-year-old Paris styled a pair of wide-leg print trousers with a white sequined top and retro silver platforms.

She later slipped into a bold purple dress with a waterfall train, swapping her silver heels for chunky black trainers.

Meanwhile, Prince pulled inspiration from his father’s late 90s style as he slipped into a red letterman-style jacket over a white t-shirt.

The siblings also share another brother, who was not present at the event, 16-year-old Prince Michael Jackson II, more commonly known as Blanket.
