Chrissy Teigen was caught taking a cheeky nap during Casey Affleck’s acceptance speech at the Oscars.

The model and wife of John Legend, who starred in Damien Chazelle’s hit La La Land, was spotted resting her head and her eyes during one of the most important parts of Sunday’s ceremony.

As Affleck was announced as the recipient of this year’s Best Actor prize for his role in Manchester By The Sea, the camera cut to the crowd to see producer Matt Damon’s reaction.

Unfortunately for Teigen, she happened to be sitting just two rows behind the star and was caught fast asleep on her husband’s shoulder.

While some people thought that Teigen was simply tired, others thought that she was protesting Affleck’s win.

“LOOK AT CHRISSY TEIGEN BACK THERE PRETENDING TO SLEEP THROUGH CASEY AFFLECK’S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH,” one person wrote on Twitter.

Another posted: “Chrissy Teigen being a national hero once again during casey affleck's speech.”

Affleck has been plagued by sexual abuse allegations over the last few months.

Last year’s Best Actress winner Brie Larson also appeared to snub Affleck after presenting him with the trophy.

The actress failed to applaud the actor as he arrived on stage, standing with her arms by her side as he started his speech.

This year’s Oscars were marked by an epic blunder which saw Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced La La Land as Best Picture instead of Moonlight.
