Dramatic footage has captured the moment Olly Murs performed a life-saving manoeuvre on a woman as she choked on food inside a restaurant.
The pop singer was hailed a "hero" after video emerged of the incident when it was uploaded to social media by an apparent witness.
The person who uploaded the footage to YouTube on Thursday posted: "Was out for dinner and saw Olly Murs help a choking woman."
The clip shows the X Factor star place his arms around a woman, who is struggling to breathe, and perform the Heimlich manoeuvre in an unknown restaurant.
And the efforts of the Heart Skips a Beat singer are successful as food is seen flying from the traumatised woman’s mouth.
After it surfaced, many took to social media to praise Mr Murs for his efforts, with one describing him as an "incredible human being".
One fan said: “The video of Olly saving that lady from choking is truly unbelievable, you're a hero.”
Another added: "Great album, great lad and saves a woman from choking... is there anything this man can't do??"
The video does not say when the incident took place.
