Professor Green was clearly caught up in the Valentine’s Day hype as he put on a loved up display with his girlfriend Fae Williams at the NME Awards.

The British rapper, 34, walked the red carpet with Williams as a host of musicians descended on Brixton Academy for the annual raucous bash.

The couple – who met after Green’s split from Millie Mackintosh – looked loved up as they posed for the cameras.

Green, real name Stephen Manderson, looked dapper in a two piece suit while Williams proved her model credentials in a stunning black dress.

They were joined by Love Island couple Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen who also used the awards bash as their Valentine’s Day date.

But despite love being in the air, Ashley James was flying solo without rumoured beau Ginuwine. The former Celebrity Big Brother star channelled 70s style as she walked the red carpet alone, hours after being pictured with a huge bouquet of red roses.

Other attendees included Ella Eyre, who was looking forward to a brief night off from her tour with The Script, and Brit nominated Anne Marie who was making her NME Awards debut.

They were joined by fellow musicians HAIM, Blossoms, James Bay, Muse, Craig David, Steflon Don, Rudimental, Amazons, Loyle Carner and Shirley Manson of rock band garbage who is up for the Icon award.

But the biggest name of the night was Liam Gallagher who arrived to huge cheers from fans – and fellow musicians – as he hit the red carpet.

The former Oasis singer will later wrap up the ceremony with a special set after he is honoured with the 2018 Godlike Genius award.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain about the title he said: “Feels normal I always feel a bit godly. It feels pretty natural.”
