Never mind X Factor – seeing my face on a red bus is amazing, says Leona Lewis
She won X Factor and has sold millions of records — but Leona Lewis said it was still a massive thrill to see her face on London red buses promoting her debut on the big screen.
At the London premiere of Walking On Sunshine, right, the singer said it was “kind of incredible” to have made her movie debut in the musical, which uses the sounds of the Eighties.
It also stars Annabel Scholey, Hannah Arterton (younger sister of Gemma), Katy Brand and Greg Wise.
Lewis, from Islington, said: “It was crazy today, I was in London and I saw four big red buses with the poster on it — my face on a big red London bus was really amazing. I’m still trying to get my head around it.”

Although she acted at the Sylvia Young theatre school before studying at the Brit School, the 29-year-old said: “The music really just took over and it’s something I’m so passionate about and I love.
"It was a new challenge but a film like this, where there’s singing in it, is not so far from my world. It’s always nerve-racking putting yourself out there for people to watch.
"I’ve been at premieres before for things I’ve done the music for but being in a film is like another world.”
Walking On Sunshine is released on June 27.
