Naomi Campbell proved there are no lengths she won’t go to in order to get the perfect picture.

The supermodel, 48, had an assistant act as a wind machine to fan the feathers on her Pier Paolo Piccioli for Valentino Haute Couture dress in front of photographers at this year’s Met Gala.

A man was captured fanning Campbell with a piece of square plastic as she worked the purple ensemble which featured a feathered cape and Bulgari Heritage jewels.

She finished the look with lace tights and pink heels.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Campbell’s assistant, with one tweeting: “Naomi brought her own guy to fan her down the runway. The girls will NEVER be on her level. Be gone peasants, you smell of mediocrity #MetGala.”

Another posted a string of heart eye emojis alongside the words: “Naomi Campbell showed up with a guy with a rubber flap! To fan her outfit.”

Campbell was flying solo at the annual bash, having reportedly split from Liam Payne in recent weeks.

The pair sparked romance rumours late last year after they were pictured celebrating New Year's Eve together before enjoying a date at Davido Adeleke’s concert at London’s O2 Arena in a VIP suite in February.

Neither party commented on the alleged romance, despite a grilling from Jonathan Ross.

“There have been a lot of headlines recently connecting you to Mr Liam Payne,” Ross asked Campbell on his self-titled ITV chat show earlier this year.

Campbell replied “And?” before adding: “I never discuss my personal life. Another name?”
