Mel B has hit back at online trolls after she was accused of having her skin lightened in a new set of bikini snaps.

The former Spice Girl showed off her shrine to the band in a series of photos posted on Wednesday, posing in an orange bikini.

She captioned the post: “Yes this is my spice shrine. Yes I’m in a bikini. Yes I’m 42 and yes all my bling is @icelinkofficial #nowornever #loveyourbody #noyourworth #standproud #spicememories #powerof5.”

But some fans were concerned the star had undergone skin lightening as they thought she looked “unrecognisable”.

In response to the slew of comments, Mel B commented on her snap quipping: “Yes and I do need a tan”.

One fan had written: “Is this airbrushed? Looking very light lol.”

While another had mused: “Why so white?”

But others jumped to the defence of the star, with one posting: “She hasn't bleached her skin it's just the lighting, sake guys, you blind.”

Some fans also thought the snaps hinted at a possible reunion, with somebody writing: “You seem to take a lot of pics with your spice shrine... maybe you should bring those clothes out of retirement instead?”
