Mel B proved that she’s staying true to her Scary Spice persona as she gave the camera the middle finger in a new candid snap with her bandmates.

The singer, real name Melanie Brown, shared a photo of her and fellow Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Horner gathered around a table at The Langham hotel ahead of their anticipated stadium tour.

While Bunton and Halliwell smiled sweetly and Chisholm winked at the camera, Brown lived up to her outrageous alter ego by sticking her tongue out and raising her middle finger.

In her caption, the 43-year-old joked that she would “always” be “that friend,” writing: “Yep I’m ‘that friend’ always and forever #hahaha #lookingoutformygirls #keepingitreal #girlgroup #forlife #spicegirls”

Fans were happy to see Brown in high spirits, with one follower writing: “Can’t wait for you to Spice up 2019!!!”

“This is the real friendship. Love you my girls!” another commented.

Last month, Brown was visited by her bandmates in hospital after she required a three hour long operation to treat “two broken ribs and a severed right hand.”

She shared a video of the unexpected Spice Girls reunion on Instagram, captioning it: “When your besties show up to hospital with hugs laughter and A LOT of love.”

Brown, Chisholm, Bunton and Horner are set to embark on a stadium tour of the UK in the June, though Victoria Beckham will not be joining them.

When asked whether she’d be tempted to jump up on stage with her former bandmates, the fashion designer was equivocal, telling Good Morning America: “I mean, I don’t know… Let’s see.”

“I’ll always be a Spice Girl and I’m so proud of everything I achieved,” she said. “I’m proud of them. I can’t wait to take my kids and see it. In spirit I will absolutely be there with them.”
