Don't panic. You've still got time to find that Union Jack dress because Mel B has revealed one member of the Spice Girls is holding up the eagerly anticipated reunion.

The singer, 43, confirmed she will “definitely” reunite with Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner to mark the group’s 20th anniversary – but added one member is proving difficult.

Speaking on Loose Women she said: “Yeah we are – we are getting back together. We are for sure. We are getting back together. In fact I’m seeing Geri a little bit later on today.”

Mel B, who was known as Scary Spice in the group’s heyday, said she sees the girls as her “sisters” so will do everything to rope in the “difficult” member.

“We’re sisters at the end of the day so what we went through was quite an amazing brilliant journey,” she said. “So we’re together.

“There’s one that’s being a bit difficult…but I’m hoping she’s going to get roped in.”

Rumours of a reunion were confirmed in February after the five-piece gathered together at Horner’s house, marking the first time they had all been in a room together since performing at the London Olympic Games in 2012.

Talk of tours and new music have been bandied about with Mel B appearing to confirm the rumours, telling the Loose Women panel earlier this year that they have all agreed to hit the road.

“It’s going to be a bit of everything,” she said. “If it was up to me we’d go on tour immediately. Maybe we will soon… hopefully.

“I’ve always said we’re definitely touring. I think I’ve just been nagging them all a bit too much. I stopped nagging and then they all said yes. I shut my mouth.”

Bunton, who was known as Baby Spice, has hinted that an animated superhero film is in the works, telling Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning: “[The film] is something we are talking about, I’m not sure about a tour but a few shows definitely, [Glastonbury] would be nice!

“In regard to Victoria making a comeback I’m sure Victoria will be involved in some way.”
