Meghan Markle has deleted all of her social media accounts as she gears up to wed Prince Harry in four months time.

The former actress, 36, de-activated both her Instagram and Twitter accounts following her second official royal engagement in Brixton on Tuesday.

Markle’s popular Instagram account was followed by three million people and featured 2065 photos from her personal and professional life.

Many of the candid pictures showcased Ms Markle’s travels, her rescue dogs, Guy and Bogart, as well as snaps of her Suits co-stars.

The princess-to-be had 475,000 followers on her Twitter account, and had posted nearly 5000 tweets during her time on the site.

Ms Markle had not been active on any of her social media accounts since she announced her engagement to Prince Harry in November.

She closed down her personal lifestyle blog, The Tig, and all of its corresponding social media accounts in April last year.

“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it's time to say goodbye. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy,” she wrote in her final post.

Ms Markle and Prince Harry arrived hand-in-hand at their second royal outing together at a radio station in Brixton on Tuesday afternoon.

The newly-engaged couple were met by fans holding Union Jack flags and waving love-themed signs outside POP Brixton.

Ms Markle gave a coy wave to fans as she arrived at Reprezent FM, where they will meet presenters and staff.

Reprezent is a 'youth-led' radio station which has launched the career of some of Britain's biggest grime and rap stars including Stormzy and Jamz Supernova, both of whom used to present shows on the station.
