Madonna has stripped off to pledge her support for Hillary Clinton.

The pop superstar, 58, has thrown herself behind Katy Perry’s pledge to vote naked in the upcoming US presidential election.

To prove she was serious, Madonna posted a topless shot of herself on Instagram, but made sure to hide her modesty.

She captioned the shot: “I’m voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary. She's the Best we got!. Nude Voting series # 1.”

The Like A Virgin singer’s post comes a day after Perry stripped off for a Funny or Die and Rock the Vote video.

The 31-year-old can be seen ripping off her stars and stripes pyjamas as she attempts to encourage people to head to the polls on November 8.

Perry – who is a staunch Clinton supporter – tells viewers they can vote in a child’s onesie, briefs, an oversized t-shirt, dressed as Scrooge or covered in slime.

Keen to prove that you can even vote naked, she goes full frontal – with only two black bars covering her modesty – but is pounced upon by two police officers.

Perry and Madonna are the latest stars to use being nude to encourage people to vote.

Joss Whedon rallied a group of stars to tell people to vote for Clinton over Donald Trump in a Save the Day video.

The US director promised fans that Mark Ruffalo will go full frontal in his next film if Clinton wins the race to the White House.

The cast of Will and Grace also reunited for the first time in 10 years to make a short episode about the importance of voting – but kept their clothes on.
