Madonna danced around the streets of New York dressed as a killer clown for Halloween.

The pop star wore a terrifying white mask and bright red wig as she went trick-or-treating with her children, one of whom was dressed as presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Caught on camera jumping up and down in the street, the 58-year-old even went up to the youngster in the Trump mask and pretended to strangle him.

Posting a close-up photo of her scary face paint, the singer wrote: “Clowns are people too!”

She also posted a group shot with her kids, with one dressed as a werewolf and another dressed as a spaceman.

Madonna posted a sarcastic caption on the Instagram snap, saying: “Make America great again!”

The singer has been a staunch advocate of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the lead-up to the US elections.

She even went so far as to jokingly offer sexual favours to anyone who voted for Clinton over Trump as she opened for Amy Schumer at Madison Square Gardens last month.

Madonna was back in the US for Halloween having been in London over the weekend to support friend Idris Elba at his first professional kick-boxing match.

The 44-year-old Luther star won his first ever kickboxing fight at York Hall in Bethnal Green on Friday night, which he took part in for a new documentary series.

And Madonna was on hand to capture all the action ringside, posting a video to her Instagram account.
