Lenny Kravitz made a five-year-old drummer's day when he surprised him during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The adorable scenes have left the Internet in awe of the well-mannered child, Justin Wilson II, who dropped by DeGeneres’ show to showcase his exceptional skills.

Updating the host on what he has been up to since appearing on the programme last year, the young musician told the audience that he has started Kindergarten and recently celebrated his fifth birthday.

Speaking of his party, he said: “It was great! I went to Legoland and I went on two rollercoasters and I went on some race cars.”

He then amazed everyone by playing Kravitz's Are You Gonna Go My Way on the drums.

As he was smashing his way through the track, the man himself walked out - sparking an adorable, stunned expression from the five-year-old.

Kravitz, 55, lifted up the talented kindergartener who shouted: “Lenny, it’s so good to see you!”, as the Low singer called him “amazing”.

Kravitz said: “You know I’m a big fan. I’ve been watching you”, with Wilson adding “thanks” before giving him a high five that knocked off his idol’s sunglasses.

Wilson became an Internet hit when his father, also named Justin, shared a video of his incredible drumming skills last year.

Speaking about the youngster's getting to meet Lenny, his parents wrote on social media: “We couldn’t be more proud of little Justin as he shared his gift again on @theellenshow. He was so polite, adorable and funny.”
