Lady Gaga made sure she was the star attraction as she stepped out for the premiere of her debut film with Bradley Cooper.

The Poker Face singer, 32, dressed fittingly in a stunning floor length silver gown as she posed on the red carpet with her A Star is Born co-stars in Los Angeles.

Gaga dazzled as she teamed the dress with silver jewellery and finished the look with bright red lips.

Gaga plays singer-songwriter Ally in the film who is mentored by Cooper’s Jackson Maine. The pair eventually become lovers as he coaxes her into the spotlight.

Cooper said he made a “friend for life” in Gaga after the pair bonded over a meal of leftover spaghetti at her house ahead of filming.

“As great as this movie was the thing that I think I’ll take away forever is the relationship I have with her because she is an incredible person,” he told PEOPLE. “I’m very lucky to have worked with her.”

Speaking about the Hangover actor, she said their friendship “is exactly what set the tone for this film”.

She told PEOPLE: “He’s such a wonderful person. He says it to me in the movie, he says, ‘All you gotta do is trust me.’ I trusted him the whole time.

“He pulled things out of me that I never thought that I even had.”

The duo were joined by their co-stars Rafi Gavron, Sam Elliott and Dave Chappelle at Monday night’s premiere as well as musician Lukas Nelson who co-produced the music for the film and also stars as Cooper’s band.

Other names in attendance included Patricia Arquette, Lea Michele, Adam Lambert, Kathy Bates and Gavin Rossdale.

A Star is Born is slated for UK cinema on October 3
