Kesha has reached out to follow pop star Taylor Swift to praise her for her “fearlessness” during her sexual assault trial.

The US singer, who has recently been through her own court battle with former producer Dr Luke, posted a message of support for Swift on Monday.

“. @taylorswift13 i support you always, and especially right now and admire your strength and fearlessness. truth is always the answer,” she wrote on Twitter.

Shortly after Kesha shared the public message, a jury found DJ David Mueller guilty of groping Swift backstage at a concert in 2013.

Swift was awarded a symbolic $1 in damages following the case and was seen emotionally hugging her crying mother as she thanked her lawyers for fighting for her and “anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault.”

The Bad Blood singer was quick to support Kesha during her own court case, during which she alleged that Dr Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, had sexual assaulted her – claims that he strongly denies.

Swift donated $250,000 to Kesha to help pay for her legal fees during the case, the result of which eventually enabled her to release her own music independently of Dr Luke’s label.

After the result of Swift’s court case, she said in a statement: “I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this.

“My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.”
